Twins 1st Birthday

Even though this is all about the girls, secretly, it felt all about us. We did it. We survived. Survival in and of it's self is reason for a big PARTY!

The Cakes and The Food
Chicken salad sandwiches, chips, fruit, green salad, and punch.
The only thing that went wrong was that the smash cakes and party cake looked completely different than what I had ordered. We ordered the sheet cake from Macy's because they'll give you a free smash cake (or two for twins). But, I was so unhappy with the smash cakes that an hour before the party, Mitch took the cakes back to the bakery and tried to do damage control. They still didn't look so great, but it's just one of those things you have to shrug off. There wasn't anything we could do about it. And, after all, they were smash cakes - they weren't going to last long.

Presents
The girls didn't quite understand the whole "unwrapping" gifts part, but they had a lot of help from their cousins. :)

Smash Cakes
Easily the most entertaining part of the party. Addie (right) thoroughly enjoyed it and even ate off Emily's cake multiple times. From the beginning, Emily was unsure of everything, but went along with the show.
